Molly Cauthon

Molly grew up in Indiana where she developed a passion for pottery in her High School art classes. She was a member of a year round swim club from the age of 6 - 19 and was a competitive swimmer on her middle school, high school teams and Special Olympics teams. She moved to South Carolina with her family in 2013 to be closer to her sister and growing family.. 

Molly joined the studio in the fall of 2023 after moving to the lowcountry. She came to the studio with a handful of drawings and a curiosity for creating. Her work showed her commitment to, and intuitive skill with, color application. She shows her love for Lilly by including her often. As a result she has built a cat loving following that looks forward to her new work consistently. Molly’s 2D work is Molly often fish. Brilliant, vibrant, joyous fish! This may or may not be, thanks to her love for, and skill at, swimming. At home she enjoys sewing with her mom where together they make, and sell, quilted hot pads known as 'Molly's Makings'.

Molly’s work has evolved significantly since her arrival at our studio resulting in her acceptance into the juried 2025 Art Market at Honey Horn. Her body of work is a joy to behold, has been added to numerous private collections, and is evidence of the positive giving power of creating.
