Are you an artist with disabilities, interested in exploring art as a vocational path or career?
Full Spectrum Studio (FSS) serves adult artists with disabilities and individuals with a mental health diagnosis. Artists must be 21 years of age or older and live in the South Carolina Low Country. Extensive previous art experience is not a requirement, only a genuine interest in the art-making process and developing as a professional artist.
FSS is a fee-for-service program. To become a resident artist at FSS, artists must have the funding or the capacity to meet fee requirements independently. For those unable to meet the fee requirements, The Studio has a limited number of Artist Fellowships/Scholarships available.
Best part about us is we want to check YOU out as much as you want to check US out! So your first 10 visits (within a one month timeframe) are free. We want to give you a chance to figure how and if coming to the FSS is the right space for you or your loved one.
Once you are a part of the program (after you take advantage of those free ten visits!), the first 90 calendar days are viewed as a trial period for the program as well as for the artist. Upon completion of the trial period, FSS Studio staff will sit down with the artist and his/her support team to discuss progress and determine a way forward for being a permanent artist at FSS.
