She is a conscientious and deliberate artist; attributes that fuel her developing skills.
“I’m good at it!” she has said with glee.
She welcomes exploring new mediums and enjoys applying new techniques.
Cat creates in various mediums such as clay, paint, various forms of 2D drawing, and abstract collage. As a founding artist at the FSS Cat has been through all the moves, temporary spaces, and sometimes uncomfortable work spaces. But she has met the challenges we have put in front of her every time, continues to exceed expectations.
Of note is Cat's consistent ability to create images using underglazes, a medium in pottery that can give a water color quality. Cat uses underglazes in abstract as well as storytelling pieces. Her storytelling pieces include mountains and hot air balloons. As she explores new ways of applying underglazes she allows herself to take a beat, and think of her pieces. She also welcomes critiques which she applies to her work as she, the artist, sees fit!
